Thesis Blog Post Week #6

Midterm

There was something cathartic about pulling together the various pieces of my project so far and re-contextualizing them for an audience outside of my class sphere. Even before receiving the crit, I felt like the very act of presenting laid bare the fissures that I had not been able to see. I walked away from the presentation with a crystallized view of what I needed to focus on next. It’s very exciting, but also completely overwhelming because there are so many things that I need to tackle. Up to this point I had been having a hard time committing anything to paper, so to speak, because I felt so noncommittal. But now, I think I have a direction to focus on.
